This piece is a study of a very elusive Australian native bee. Euruglossina Mellea although it only has been recorded a few times in Victoria and Queensland these two sites do span almost the entire east coast of Australia. Another peculiarity of this species is that their appearance is very fairy-like. I decided to accentuate the irradiance effect of their wings to enhance its natural magic.
