This piece is a study of one of the most colourful Australian native bees. This beauty has only been found in Western Australia. Seems to be, this species only reproduces one generation of bees each year, around September with the arrival of spring. Although not a lot of information about this species was available, its glorious metallic greens captivated me and rendering this piece brought me great personal satisfaction.
